Farmer's Advice

*When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.*
(Something like what my father has always said to me)

*Don't judge folks by their relatives.*
(Many times I have found that I am guilty by association. And although when you wallow with pigs you should expect to get dirty. The truth is, we can't chose our relatives.)

*Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.*
(This is just hillarious, and very true. I know a few old men who would just kill you.)

Liking one of these quotes better than the other? Why?

Lost Friendships

This Was Written A Few Years Ago.
Without mentioning names, I dedicate this to a great friend of mine (Who it was originally written for).
Never thought that he would one day truly be gone forever.
I'll Always Miss You!!
Two years ago she wouldn't know, that they would be such good friends. But now that he's gone, that friendship is almost dead. So scared, she's losing him again. *sitting up watching M.T.V, she wonders why its gotta be, she just doesn't see, & where is he going*
'cause now he's gone, almost unknown, and she tries not to let the fealing show. Just to see him again to know his love still stands, then maybe the pain would end. *sitting up watching M.T.V, she wonders why its gotta be, she just doesn't see, & where is he going*
Sure they talk. But if they could walk together, just for a day, or maybe even forever. But they never get to see eachother, why do they even bother? *sitting up watching M.T.V, she wonders why its gotta be, she just doesn't see, & where is he going*
One year ago, she thought she knew. In her head, they would be together, and it would last forever. They would get maried, and together be berried. *sitting up watching M.T.V, she wonders why its gotta be, she just doesn't see, & where is he going*
She could still be with him, but she gave up on him, how could she do it again. But every time, he takes her shit, he don't have to deal with it,,, maybe he knows that she still loves him so. *sitting up watching M.T.V, she wonders why its gotta be, she just doesn't see, & where is he going*
Now she's crying, inside she's dying, all of these friendships unwinding. Why did she act like such a bitch, they didn't even have one goodbye kiss. *sitting up watching M.T.V, she wonders why its gotta be, she just doesn't see, & where is he going*
Should she move on, and leave him alone. Or wait to see, helplessly wishing she could be... With him now, talking to him now, instead of here on this couch just crying. If he had to go she wouldn't let him alone. All she asks is to know, "where is he going, Please wait for me. So that maybe I can see. Why does this have to be. I just don't understand, Why can't I see, Why is he leaving me?!

Dylan

Here is another poem of mine (Written for my brother):
Dylan Salo
His life taken
Not yet a todler
Bringing tears to Mother and Father
So young, So small
He brought joy to all
Though I do not remember
I can almost emagine
The way he laughed
The way he cried
I only know his looks
From family picture books
When I feel alone
I pretend that he's still home
I wish I could know him better
But I was too young to now remember
No one will replace the brother I've lost
Not for any cost
He's in Heavon now
Watching me throught the clouds
As I read this poem
OUT LOUD ©
Although I have revised it a bit since, this was written when I was quite young. Sorry if it's not the most poetic.
